And at the height of the 2nd Wizarding War…

Fenrir worked as a Snatcher.

Voldemort’s bounty hunters for wizards and witches on the run.

In fact, Fenrir was responsible for the deaths of a lot of people.

Like Dirk Cresswell, Ted Tonks, and Gornuk.

3 most famous Fenrir Greyback quotes

#1: “But you know how much I like kids, Dumbledore.”

When Fenrir came face-to-face with Albus Dumbledore

The werewolf was happy to see the great wizard about to die.

And Fenrir made sure to let Dumbledore know what he would do to the students at Hogwarts.

#2: “A Weasley? So you’re related to blood traitors even if you’re not a Mudblood. And lastly, your pretty little friend… I’m not going to bite just yet. We’ll see if she’s a bit quicker at remembering her name than Barny. Who are you, girly?”

When Fenrir managed to capture Harry Potter and his friends…

He made sure to instill fear in their hearts the second he got their hands on them.

#3: “Reckon she’ll let me have a bit of the girl when she’s finished with her? I’d say I’ll get a bite or two, wouldn’t you, ginger?”

This has to be Fenrir Greyback’s most terrifying quote.

Because he threatened to turn Hermione into a werewolf…

Right in front of everyone else too.

More facts about Fenrir Greyback

#1: Killed Lavender Brown

Fenrir Killed Lavender Brown

Fenrir Greyback was no stranger to murder.

And during The Battle of Hogwarts

He took every opportunity to bite and kill as many students.

But can you guess Fenrir’s most horrifying attack?

Well, he killed Lavender Brown.

The young Gryffindor witch who used to be Ron’s girlfriend.

Yet this wasn’t some ordinary bite.

Fenrir Greyback attacked her without an ounce of mercy.

In fact, he threw Lavender’s body from a balcony…

And the 2 of them dropped and crashed onto the concrete floor.

But did Fenrir stop?

No, he kept biting and clawing at Lavender’s corpse.

In fact, if Hermione wasn’t there to blast Fenrir away…

Who knows what else Fenrir would’ve done to Lavender’s body?

Worse, I don’t even want to imagine how Lavender’s parents feel.

A study shows grief can be extremely painful.

But to find out what happened and how Fenrir killed her…

I can’t begin to explain the stress and torment that would cause.

And if you want to watch the scene again…

Remember, it’s not for the faint of heart:

#2: Turned Remus Lupin into a Werewolf

Remus Lupin was 1 of the most powerful wizards in Harry Potter.

Plus, he was a great teacher too.

But the 1 thing that kept holding him back was his furry problem…

Because had to work around full moons since he was a werewolf.

Yet have you ever wondered how Remus became one in the first place?

Well, it turns out that it was actually Fenrir Greyback’s fault.

You see, when Remus Lupin just turned 5 years old.

That’s when Fenrir broke into his house and bit him.

Luckily, Remus’s father, Lyall Lupin, was there right on time.

And he managed to drive off Fenrir before anything else could happen.

Unfortunately, the damage had already been done.

So there was no escaping from lycanthropy for Remus.

“But why did Fenrir target Remus then?”

Well, it’s simply because Lyall said:

“[Werewolves] they deserve nothing less than death…”

#3: Twisted preference for attacking children

Fenrir Greyback was evil.

But the 1 thing that made him even worse than the likes of Voldemort?

Well, Fenrir preferred attacking kids.

And he would aim for young wizards and witches…

So they would suffer as they grew up.

In fact, it’s 1 of the reasons why Fenrir served the evil Lord Voldemort.

The Dark Lord promised him “sons and daughters”

If Fenrir followed his every command.

“Why did Fenrir Greyback want the kids to suffer then?”

Well, these young wizards and witches would become the victims of bullying.

And once they felt like outcasts…

They became easier to trick into following Fenrir.

On top of that, Fenrir enjoyed taking them away too.

Because he liked raising kids away from their parents.

And teaching them to hate everything about wizards and witches.

#4: Wanted as many victims as possible

Sure, Fenrir preferred children.

But that’s simply a preference.

Fenrir would still attack and turn anyone he could.

Because he only had 1 goal at the end of the day: as many victims as possible.

And a study shows this is a clear sign of a psychopath.

Because Fenrir felt 0 empathy for all the pain he caused.

“Why did he go to such lengths? What did Fenrir have in mind anyway?”

Fenrir Greyback was planning to build a werewolf army.

An alarming force large enough to overpower the wizarding world.

And to place him as the new leader.

So it’s a good thing that Voldemort lost.

Because I don’t want to see a wizarding world overrun by Fenrir’s werewolves

#5: He didn’t need to be in werewolf form

Although Fenrir Greyback was powerful because of his werewolf abilities…

He didn’t need them to be evil.

And as crazy as it sounds…

It’s true.

Fenrir Greyback was just as evil a person in human form.

How so, you ask?

Well, he wouldn’t shy away from attacking people.

What’s worse, Fenrir Greyback would even eat them too.

So even if it wasn’t a full moon…

Fenrir Greyback was just as terrifying.

Because his cannibalistic behavior was already part of him.

Be it as a werewolf or not.

But despite these terrifying details…

It’s 1 of the reasons why I love Harry Potter so much.

There’s always something for everyone to enjoy.

Even the gruesome parts.

#6: Scarred Bill Weasley’s face

William “Bill” Weasley was a tall and handsome man.

And while some fans think Ron Weasley’s the best character

He doesn’t hold a candle to his brother’s looks.

But what’s any of this got to do with Fenrir, you ask?

Well, he’s the reason why Bill lost his dashing good looks.

Because during the Battle of Astronomy Tower

Fenrir attacked Bill Weasley as he was escaping Hogwarts.

Luckily, it wasn’t a full moon.

As a result, Bill was safe from turning into a werewolf.

However, the attack left a hideous scar on his face.

And it goes to show how scary Fenrir Greyback can be.

On the bright side, things did end on a happy note.

Because Bill’s soon-to-be wife, Fleur Delacour, didn’t care about the scars.

And the 2 of them still got married.

#7: He wasn’t actually a Death Eater

Look, I know that Fenrir Greyback fits the description of any Death Eater.

He was a violent and loyal follower of the Dark Lord.

However, Voldemort never acknowledged Fenrir as part of his inner circle.

Because he never received the Dark Mark.

The symbol of a snake and skull on the inner left forearm.

“Why didn’t Voldemort turn him into a Death Eater then?”

Well, the answer’s simple.

Fenrir Greyback was only a means to an end.

He brought an army of werewolves that would help in Voldemort’s cause.

But as for pure-blood supremacy…

Fenrir was the farthest thing from a pure-blood wizard.

He was a beast.

Not to mention, a lot of the other Death Eaters looked down on him.
