3 most famous Rolanda Hooch quotes
#1: “Now, when I blow my whistle, you kick off from the ground, hard. Keep your brooms steady, rise a few feet, and then come straight back down by leaning forward slightly. On my whistle — three — two —”
This was Hooch’s very 1st lesson with Harry Potter’s class.
And she taught everyone how to fly with a broomstick.
#2: “A spell! I haven’t been this annoyed since my broom was singed by overzealous anti-aircraft during the Great War!”
The Great War was a dangerous time in history.
And this 1st World War caused around 40 million casualties.
However, wizards and witches didn’t fight in it…
Because they wanted to protect their secrecy.
Unfortunately, Madam Hooch almost got hit by 1 of the missiles.
But it’s good that it only burnt a bit off her broomstick.
#3: “None of you is to move while I take this boy to the Hospital Wing! You leave those brooms where they are, or you’ll be out of Hogwarts before you can say ‘Quidditch.'”
Neville Longbottom had trouble controlling his broom.
And despite Madam Hooch’s warnings…
Neville ended up hurting himself.
As a result, Hooch had to bring him to the hospital wing and put the class on hold.
But despite how careless and dangerous that sounds…
It’s still a pretty fun scene to watch again:
